Best film noir endings — argue with me

Here's my ranked list of the best noir endings. Fight me:

1. Sunset Blvd — Norma descending the stairs. 'Mr DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up.' Still the gold standard.

2. Out of the Past (1947) — Mitchum and Greer's final drive. One of them is going to kill the other. You know it. They know it. Mitchum just smokes.

3. Double Indemnity — Walter on the office floor dictating his confession. The moral center shifts in the last 90 seconds.

4. Detour — Al hitching on the dark highway. Cop car arrives. 70 minutes of fatalism delivered perfectly.

5. The Killing — the airport. The money. The wind. 'What's the difference.'
